About Me

Do you want to understand why you keep responding the same way to what life throws at you? Perhaps your ways of operating the world served you well at one time, but no longer serve you now. Or perhaps you have experienced trauma. These revelations can become apparent to us as we navigate life transitions such as starting academic programs, new careers, relationships, or becoming a parent. Or, sometimes we just don’t want to operate on autopilot anymore. In our work together we will explore the unconscious mind and how past experiences, especially those from early childhood or traumatic experiences, influence current thoughts, emotions, and behaviours. As well, we will work to support your experience in the present with support for stress, burnout, resilience, and balance. I can offer you a safe and supportive space for you to explore your inner wisdom and resources. I can offer you a space to be heard and empowered.
I am trained in the Flash Technique, an intervention used to lessen the emotional intensity associated with traumatic memories. I am a Registered Psychotherapist-Qualifying. I have a PhD in Education, MA in Counselling Psychology, and Master of Education. I draw on my experiences as an academic and educator to support my counselling practice. I take an eclectic approach to psychotherapy with my clients, as I want to meet you where you need support. I offer virtual counselling, so you can access support from a space that is safe and comfortable for you.
