About Me
Welcome to a space where healing meets possibility, and transformation flourishes! I am a Registered Psychotherapist and Certified Music Therapist passionate about helping individuals who are open-minded and committed to their personal growth and healing journey. In my work, I have had the privilege to see clients find their voice, express their needs, and set boundaries. My goal is to help you explore your thoughts and emotions, rewrite your stories, reclaim your power, and forge deeper connections with yourself and others. With over 5 years of experience in the mental health field, I am interested in supporting those experiencing general life stressors and transitions, relationship challenges, self-esteem, self-worth, trauma, grief/loss, anxiety, and depression. My favourite parts about being a therapist include ongoing learning, feeling connected to my clients, holding the therapeutic space for them, and feeling proud of them.
I work from a culturally sensitive, anti-oppressive, and trauma-informed lens. From these perspectives, I integrate modalities such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), Mindfulness-Based Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), and Music Therapy. My approach is holistic, collaborative, and strengths-based, focusing on uncovering the underlying patterns and beliefs that may be holding you back from living life more authentically. Together, we'll explore your strengths, values, and aspirations to help you overcome obstacles, cultivate resilience, and thrive in the different areas of your life.
I believe in creating a safe and nonjudgmental space where you can explore your deepest truths, express your authentic self, and embark on a journey of self-discovery and growth. From my own lived experiences and my work with others, I can appreciate that we all go through many unique experiences that shape who we are. I value the uniqueness of each client and believe that therapy is not a “one size fits all.” I strive to tailor treatment to each client’s experiences, needs, and goals, adapting and adjusting as needed.
I have a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology Degree from Yorkville University, and an Honours Bachelor of Music Therapy Degree from Wilfrid Laurier University.
When I’m not a therapist, I love eating out, watching soap operas, and travelling!
